The programme of the XIII International Festival “The Four Elements”
March 13-15, 2012
- documentary film festival “Bond of Times”
- international folk dance competition “DanceFest&Folk”
- "Ethnica" International  festival

The International Folk Dance Competition  will be held in Moscow on  March 14-15, 2012

Constitutors and participants of the Festival:
“Soglaciye” Centre of traditional culture,
Charity Foundation “In the Name of Life”,
under the supervision of  the Russian Ministry of Culture.

THE PARTICIPANTS in the “DanceFest&Folk” Competition are:
Dance groups from professional and amateur schools,
folk groups

THE NOMINATIONS of the “DanceFest&Folk” Competition
(SOLO, GROUPS) are:
- traditional folk dance
- scenic folk dance
- folk dance stylization

THE AGE OF THE PARTICIPANTS
Group A (8 - 17) – competition for children and teenagers
Group B (17 - 30) – competition for young people
A certain number of participants from the other age group are allowed to participate in the performances, however the age of the majority of the group participants should correspond to their age group.

TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SELECTIVE ROUND the candidates have to:
- not later than on January 15, 2012, fill in the application form in this web-site; 
- receive a written confirmation from the Organizers of the Competition that the application is accepted;
- give references of the videos of the candidates’ programmes in the Internet 
(such as YouTube, Facebook, My Space etc.)

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The candidates may apply for the participation in each age group.
The number of performances in each age group should be 2 maximum.
The number of the performing participants is not limited. 
Each participant should have a medical insurance.
The duration of each performance should be not exceed 6 minutes. 

Gala-Concert of the laureates (only those performances selected by the Jury)
and the guests of the Festival will take place on the main stage of the Moscow Luna Theatre

The audio pieces must be made only on CD-discs, recordings being of high quality.
CDs must be submitted to the Organizers on the day of the rehearsal.
Each CD must be labeled with the name of the participant and the performance title.
Each piece must be recorded on a separate CD.

Please be advised that all transportation expences, accommodation, meals,
organization fee, visa and transfer are covered by the participating dance group.

Conditions of participating:
Accommodation (standard for all participants) – hostel in the centre of Moscow

(room for several people, two-level beds, wash-rooms in the corridor). 

Meals – breakfast, lunch

Total cost - $200 (2 days), $250 (3 days),  $300 (4 days) 
per each participant of the group
(includes accommodation for 1- 3 nights, meals,
transport from the airport or railway stations, participation fee). 

Variants of paying the Participation fee, the cost of accommodation and meals
- from the participants’ bank account to the Organizers’ account;
- in cash upon arrival.

Please note that the fee of the Competition does not include:
- medical insurance.
The Organizing Committee shall not be responsible for any possible accidents or thefts inside and outside the Festival premises during the Festival.

PRIZES AND AWARDS
The laureates will be awarded with original diplomas and memorable prizes.
All the groups will be given diplomas of the participants in “The Four Elements” International Festival.
