Provisions of the International Modern Dance Competition
for Children and Young People «DanceFest-2011»
The International Modern Dance Competition for Children and Young People
“DanceFest-2011” will be held in Moscow from October 5 to October 7, 2011, within
the limits of the XII International Festival “The Four Elements”
(Ethnica, Theatre, Novation, Choreography).
The Festival is supervised by the Russian Ministry of Culture.
The “DanceFest-2011” is aimed at supporting and popularizing various forms
of modern choreography, the international exchange of creative achievements
in the sphere of dance.
THE PROGRAMME of «DanceFest-2011»
- competition performances of the participants
- the participants of the “DanceFest-2011” can attend the events of the IFFE-2011
Modern Choreography international competition
- participation in the Gala-Concert of the laureates and guests of «The Four Elements»
Festival (only those performances selected by the Jury)
THE PARTICIPANTS in the «DanceFest-2011» Competition are:
Dance groups and soloists from professional and amateur schools
THE NOMINATIONS of the «DanceFest-2011» Competition
(soloists, groups):
- modern dance: contemporary dance, modern, jazz modern
- folk
THE AGE OF THE PARTICIPANTS
Group B (8 – 12)
Group C (13 – 16)
Group D (17 – 26)
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SELECTIVE ROUND the candidates have to:
- not later than on May 25, 2011, fill in the attached application form in this site;
- receive a written confirmation from the Organizers of the Competition that the application is accepted;
- place the video in the Internet and give the reference to it.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Candidates may apply for the participation of soloists and groups in each nomination of the competition.
The number of the performing participants is not limited.
Each participant should have a medical insurance.
The duration of the performances: not longer than 6 minutes.
During the Competition the groups and the soloists must perform in accordance with
the approved programme. The order of performances is not subject to any changes since
it is arranged taking into account the time required to get ready for the performance of the next candidate.
The audio pieces must be made only on CD-discs, recordings being of high quality.
CDs must be submitted to the Organizers on the day of the rehearsal.
Each CD must be labeled with the name of the participant and the performance title.
Each piece must be recorded on a separate CD.
COST OF PARTICIPATION
- $200 per each participant of the group (if the group needs 2 days accommodation and meals,
transportation of the group from the airports or railway stations)
- $250 per each participant of the group (if the group needs 3 days accommodation and meals,
transportation of the group from the airports or railway stations)
Accommodation: mini-hotel (hostel) in the centre of Moscow,
rooms for 2-12 people, wash-rooms in the corridor.
Variants of paying the Participation fee, the cost of accommodation and meals
- from the participants’ bank account to the Organizers’ account;
- in cash upon arrival.
For the accreditation at the Festival please fill in the APPLICATION Form in this web-site.
After you receive the confirmation from the Organizers that they accept your application,
you have to participate in the selective video round (till June 1, 2011) and then receive the official
invitation to participate in the Festival.
The Organization Fee should be paid not later than September 1, 2011.
Please note that the fee of the Competition does not include:
- medical insurance.
The Organizing Committee shall not be responsible for any possible accidents
or thefts inside and outside the Festival premises during the Festival.
The participants may attend all the events of the «DanceFest» Competition free of charge.
All the participants of the «DanceFest» can acquire tickets to the evening competition performances
of “The Four Elements Festival” as well as the Gala-Concert with a discount.
PRIZES AND AWARDS
The laureates will be awarded with original diplomas of the «DanceFest» Competition and memorable prizes.
